The W+ Standard
The W+ Standard establishes the “normative” requirements for implementing a W+ Project. The W+ Program, Standard and the six W+ Domains and criteria have been developed through a consultative process with stakeholders. This included women’s groups and men within community development projects in Asia and Africa, as well as subject matter specialists in gender/women’s empowerment ,carbon project development and certification systems.
W+ Standard Setting Procedures
The W+ Standard Setting Procedures follow the ISEAL Standard Setting Code to ensure the standard development process is inclusive, transparent, and effective.
The W+ Program Guide
The W+ Program Guide presents information intended to guide and support Project Developers in meeting the requirements for submitting required PIN, PDD, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting, and Validation/Verification documentation to WOCAN for W + project certification.

W+ Project Design Document (PDD) Template
This template is for describing in detail the design and implementation of W+ activities. The key elements of the W+ PDD are:  
The W+ Verification Report Template
This template is for W+ accredited verifiers to submit their report to WOCAN for the verification of W+ projects that are pursuing W+ certification. 
The W+ Monitoring and Evaluation Report Template
This is the monitoring and evaluation report template for projects seeking W+ certification. Use of this template ensures consistency and facilitates efficient review of project outcomes.
The W+ Method Form Template
The template is for Project/method proponents to provide the specified information in sufficient detail so that the Method may be validated and used by others.

The W+ Standard Technical Expert TOR
The Technical Exchange Group (TEG) is an independent ad hoc technical body of gender and monitoring and evaluation experts with experience in various sectors to which the W+ will be applied.
The W+ Advisory Council TOR
The Advisory Council members are invited to participate on a volunteer basis. Their role is non-governing, non-adjudicatory, and non-supervisorial.
Double-Counting Policy
The W+ Standard may be applied in a wide variety of project types.

The W+ Standard Version 1.3 is now open for public comment. After an initial period of utilization, the W+ Standard has been updated. Underlined portions of the text are proposed additions.

Notes

  • The W+ Standard will be reviewed an updated in a public process every three to five years.  The planned review cycle is 2017, 2020, 2023.
  • Paper copies of W+ Standard and program documents are available, at as low a cost as possible, upon request.
