Join WOCAN during New York Climate Week 2026 for a stakeholder dialogue exploring the critical relationship between gender inclusion and integrity in carbon markets.

As demand for high-integrity carbon credits grows, so does the need to better understand what “integrity” means in practice. Women play a vital role in delivering and sustaining many community- and nature-based carbon projects, yet the value they create and the benefits they receive are often not adequately recognised or measured.

This event will bring together leaders from across the carbon market ecosystem to explore how gender co-benefits can be measured, verified, valued and financed, and why meaningful inclusion should be considered an integral part of carbon market integrity.

The discussion will focus on how recognising and investing in women’s participation can help carbon projects deliver stronger, more sustainable and demonstrable climate outcomes.
