‍WOCAN and The W+ Standard at COP30

‍November 19 | 11.300-12.30 PM | GCC Pavilion No. PV-E193

Climate change does not impact everyone equally — and women on the frontlines continue to face disproportionate risks, despite driving some of the most effective community-based climate solutions. Yet, less than 1% of climate finance reaches these women leaders. At WOCAN, we believe high-integrity climate action must be gender-responsive. This is why we created the The W+ Standard, a unique framework that measures and verifies women’s empowerment outcomes — enabling climate projects to generate gender credits for impacts like time savings, income and assets, health, leadership, education and knowledge and food security.
