The Story
In Kitui County, Kenya, Pula designs and delivers agricultural insurance and digital products that help smallholder farmers withstand climate shocks, improve practices, and grow incomes. The project intentionally includes women in training and advisory sessions—some cohorts with up to 60% women participants—to expand access to knowledge, reduce losses, and improve household food security. Using the W+ Standard, the project quantifies empowerment outcomes so buyers can finance verified social results alongside climate resilience.
